School de Baskuul in Lutjebroek:
In 2010 and 2011, we brought the children (primary school of Maria)in contact with the projects in Rio de Janeiro.
We did workshops in making bracelets (macramé) and gave presentations. The children of group 8 were so excited that they made a small Christmas market with selfmade stuff to get collect money for the project.
We want to bring the children in contact through internet. So that they can talk in English, or maybe even a little Portuguese / Dutch with each other to share the culture and other interesting things.
Media College in Amsterdam:
They financed the first Postcards from Rio de Janeiro.
In 2012 we have made a child book and are selling it at several schools.
At the schools de Baskuul, de Uilenburcht, de Willibrordus, de Klimop, BSO Snoopy and Tupiquinim (for Portuguese lessons).
With this book we tell the children / people something about Brazil. See book for more information.
A part of the money will be invested in the projects of Museu da Maré and CEASM.
